Spirit Mask
Description
This mask was made by Alaska Native artist Jacob Shavings from walrus ivory, whale baleen, and wood. The mask shows an ivory seal inside a band of whale baleen. The carved walrus ivory pieces around the edge depict another seal viewed from above. It measures 9x13 inches.
